Long time no see. We've been incredibly busy cooking up new features and improvements for you to enjoy and appreciate. So busy, in fact, that we didn't even get the time to tell you about them!

Your typical WhatsApp broadcast used to reach roughly 30-40% of your selected audience since WhatsApp introduced per-message marketing limits. We couldn't let our brands be limited by such restrictions!

So we introduced DeliveryBoost™—a feature that automatically retries sending a marketing message if it hasn't been delivered to a particular number, based on our internal algorithm.

Since introducing this, brands like House of Chikankari have seen their delivery rates soar from 40-50% to consistently 70-90%!

A long-requested feature—the ability to have multiple numbers in the same Spur account—is now live!

For just $29/month, you can connect another WhatsApp number to your account, which can help across various verticals:

  • E-commerce: Use a separate number for support and marketing to segregate chats and avoid confusion.
  • Retail: Have a different number for each outlet/location, allowing for personalized communication in regional languages.
  • Sales: Give each member of the sales team a separate line (with their own name and profile picture) to communicate with their leads, while still enjoying all the benefits of automations and ticketing.

Our team has been hard at work making several backend changes to speed up everything—from the Shared Inbox to Databases. We hope you've noticed the difference!

Clicking on any received image or video in the Shared Inbox now loads a proper preview, instead of opening it in a new tab as before.

Automation Filters and sorting options, now available
Automation Filters and sorting options, now available

Automations can now be filtered and sorted based on various parameters like their applicable channels, whether they are enabled, and more.

Another long-awaited feature—you can now export all your contacts or a specific segment by clicking the export button.

We've added the following actions and triggers into the Automation Builder:

  • New Action: Fetch Shopify Order Details for any automation, even if the trigger isn't a Shopify trigger.
  • New Action: Close Ticket, allowing you to close an open ticket.
  • New Trigger: Post Sent, which triggers an automation if a post is sent to you in a DM. Can be configured to trigger on particular posts as well.
  • Broadcast Analytics now show the number of people who are not on WhatsApp as a separate metric.
  • Added a new saving modal when exiting an edited automation, which shows the edits made and provides more options.
  • Brands will receive an email when their active contact limit is reached.
  • Added the option to Click to Chat to the Spur Chat Widget on Shopify.
  • Enabled image previews for Templates in the Automation Builder for better feedback.
  • Added the ability to sync and delete ad accounts.
  • Introduced dynamic links in carousel templates in the Automation Builder.
  • Creating checkout links with WooCommerce is now possible.
  • Added an indicator for which number is sending a message in the Shared Inbox.
  • For IG/FB: If an ad is boosted and the original post is linked with Spur using Linked Products, the boosted ad will automatically get a reply.
  • Brands can now change their currency in general settings.
  • Fixed an issue with assigned tickets not being visible in the Shared Inbox.
  • Fixed an issue with some images not appearing properly in the Shared Inbox.
  • Improved display of selected posts in the Automation Builder.
  • Updated settings layout on mobile.
  • Enhanced the signup experience on mobile.
  • Other minor bug fixes (too many to list 😆).

As you might have noticed, WhatsApp Welcome Messages are now suspended by Meta and therefore no longer work on Spur. We are actively monitoring the situation and will inform our customers when this feature becomes available again.
